International conference Nanotechitaly 2010 in Venice becomes the next activity in our presentation this year. Many presentations of research and potential applications has brought new contacts and opportunities that lead to technology or license transfer to specific applications in textile and surface protection applications. NanoTrade obtains additional competitive advantage in the market.

At the last plenary meeting of the Association of Manufacturers and Suppliers of Medical Devices NanoTrade Ltd. was accepted as a regular member. As many of our research activities for health, we have great ambitions and assumptions of good cooperation with other members.

NanoTrade is at International thematic seminar Nano4inno in Prag with Partnering brokerage event. Nano4inno- a brief look back!N a n o 4 i n n o – Nanotechnology and New Materials for Business Innovation, the international thematic seminar organised by Technology Centre ASCR was held on September 27th 2010, Diplomat Hotel, Evropská 15, 160 00 Prague, in the Czech Republic. The partner of the event was Amires Sàrl, consulting company (Neuchâtel, Switzerland).Wider public perception of this seminar was very positive, as was evidenced by the more then 70 participants coming from both research and development and industry in the field of nanotechnology and new materials. Presence of more than 30% of entrepreneurs and industry representatives showed high innovation potential of selected topics. The international dimension of this event together with the great interest from inventive industrial players brought together top-level research groups with SME partners and helped to establish their long-term relationships thus facilitating their increased participation in EU FP7 research and development projects. As regards the interest in proposed topics, nanoparticles, nanostructures and membranes followed by electronics and photovoltaics and material sciences for health applications, remained the most preferred ones. Czech Republic participants as well as their host colleagues from other European countries (e.g. Austria, Germany, France, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Romania, Russia, Spain and Switzerland, United Kingdom) also gained benefits from the strategic matchmaking part based on pre-arranged 15-minutes face-to-face meetings which was held in the afternoon during the partnering brokerage event.The keynote talks were given by highly reputable scientists and highly skilled entrepreneurs introducing their latest research results in relation to proposed topics. Invited keynote speakers shared their experience with international research collaboration and gave the main features of their proposals. Even though this event was focused on starting up new EU FP7 projects, it was not the aim exclusively. Some of the talks were prepared in order to demonstrate the best practice examples of the bilateral industrial projects as those are important tools for companies that are part of the open innovation society.Last but not least, SME representatives successfully sought to extend their business networks or found potential research partners from all over the Europe through the stands and posters providing the latest news on their technology development at free exhibition area at the seminar place.

The company NanoTrade is testing its products nanosilver® and nanosilver® Thermo with the Czech expedition in Himalaya. This expedition went in August, 27-th, 2010 to attempt the world´s first downhill from the top of Co Oyu (Qowowuyag, Turquoise Goddess) from a height of 8201 m asl to the first altitude camp at an altitude of 5800 m asl. Expedition members who are enrolled in our nanosilver® Test Team were equipped with nanosilver® knee socks and underpants and jumpers nanosilver® Thermo. These products will be tested in harsh climatic conditions, both during the entire stay, especially during the downhill. After the return of the expedition all valuable information will be used for preparation of a new collection for 2011.

Ve dnech 13. a 14. září jsme byli účastni na konferenci Nanotechnologie_PL, kterou pořádala Politechnika ve Waršavě ( detaily na: http://science24.com/event/nanotechnologiaPL/ ). Naše prezentace, zaměřené na výsledky praktických testů aditiv na bázi nanotechnologií v palivech, vyvolaly velký ohlas. Byl projednán konkrétní zájem o provedení testů ve firmě vlastnící 3 teplárny a dále zahájení spolupráce s Politechnikou Warszawskou na využití těchto aditiv při spalování uhlí.

NanoTrade started cooperation with HUKOS Ltd. (www.hukos.cz ) specializes in optical emission spectrometers, X-ray analyzer to measure the chemical composition of materials, devices for detecting radiation, devices for preparing samples for metallography and thermal imagers for non-contact temperature measurement. Both companies are preparing a joint project

In a beautiful environment of Cadarache was held third working meeting of NanoCom project, which NanoTrade is implementing partner. EU project under the 7-th FP is focused on Lowering Barriers for Nanotechnology Commercialization via Open Innovation.

Todays Kick Off Meeting sterted the project: Nanoparticle Fate Assessment and Toxicity in the Environment.

NanoTrade initiated the cooperation with Bulgarian BTI partner in the first deliveries for the Bulgarian market. It is also planning to extend activity into industrial applications.

Currently expanding our activities to other countries such as Macedonia and Bulgaria. At the same time negotiations are ongoing cooperation with distribution partners in other countries.
